Lyn Doto has studied oil painting for 6 1/2 years with Edward L. Loper, Sr.  Through his courses at the Delaware College of Art and Design, as well during en plein air trips to Quebec City and Wilmington's Brandywine Park.  Lyn has explored Loper's tradition of light, line, color, and space.  She has been a member of annual group exhibits by "Edward L. Loper and Students" from 2001 through 2007.  She also was co-exhibitor, with her husband, William S. Montgomery,  in a 2005 exhibit entitled "Color at Costas."  Lyn has participated in the National Arts Program's Wilmington exhibits, and was awarded First Place in their Intermediate Category in 2005, and Best in Show in 2006.
